Shore Based Maintenance

The equipment listed in the Declaration of Shore Based
Maintenance (SBM) is covered by a corresponding contract to
provide its availability as required by Regulation IV/15 of the
1988 GMDSS amendments to the 1974 SOLAS.

These regulations prescribe, that authorized and technically
capable companies shall be assigned to take care of your
GMDSS systems. Many countries are more and more
demanding for companies offering Shore Based Maintenance to
be able to prove that they can provide the services they advertise
and contract. Requirements will include the need for the service
provider to have recognized Quality Assurance registration;
provide 24-hour 360 day support; have access to OEM for
support and spares; provide a GMDSS handbook, etc. We
naturally meet, fulfill these requirements, and indeed surpass,
these requirements for the provision of this service!

We offer SBM for a yearly fee which includes provision of
manpower to direct the service activities for you, hold available
exchange units of own or OEM production, take over the
communications expenses. We take care of all service matters,
etc. charging normal fees individually for each service case.
Last but not least we supply the Declaration of Shore Based
Maintenance the authorities are keen to see and hold
information of duration
