SAM Electronics, partly a successor of AEG Marine Division
has been delivering steering gears for more than 30 years.
To meet customers requirements and marine industry
standard SAM Electronics developed the latest technology in
engineering design, service friendliness and production to
supply high-quality and reliable steering gear systems for ships
of all types and sizes.
The systems perform reliability in all operating conditions. The
compact rotary vane product line comprises 15 different
standard models with a working torque ratings from 6.5 to
10,967 kNm, while 14 models ranging from 6 to 6,756 kNm are
available for the ram type steering gears.
SAM’s steering gears comply with the specifications of all
leading classification societies and authorities.
In cooperation with subsidiaries, representative offices, agents
and dedicated service stations SAM Electronics is able to
provide an efficient and reliable service, maintenance and repair
network to shipping companies and yards across the globe.
