SAM Electronics Korea to be named L-3 Marine Systems Korea


HAMBURG, 21 October 2009 - SAM Electronics, an L-3 Communications
company announced today that beginning of November 2009 SAM Electronics
Korea is renamed L-3 Marine Systems Korea. The complete range of products
and services so far provided by SAM Electronics Korea remains unchanged. All
other locations remain unchanged as well as telephone numbers and delivery
addresses.

Jan Benggaard has built a solid reputation during his time with SAM Electronics
Korea and remains as managing director in the renamed company.

The change is part of L-3 Communications’ strategy to expand and strengthen
the company’s position in the Korean marine market. L-3 Marine Systems
Korea will increase its activities for the offshore market in Korea by integrating
affiliate L-3 companies like L-3 Dy-namic Positiong and Control Systems as well
as L-3 Offshore, L-3’s European focus point within this segment. Moreover,
existing market segments of the company like navigation and automation
systems for commercial ships which are dealt with SAM groups companies
L-3 Valmarine and Lyngsø Marine remain unchanged.
